Bloggers Wanted

We hope that you use this site to post your thoughts on The Bully. On Friday at school we kicked off our reading with chapters 1 and 2 being read aloud in Advisory. What's your reaction to the opening of the book? If you're having writer's block, here is a reflection question to get your mind rolling: Why do you think kids looked the other way when Tyray was bothering Darrell? What would you have done?

My conclusion, for why the other kids just looked away when Tyray was bullying Darrel, is because they knew that if they notified the teacher that this was happening they would be the ones dealing with Tyray next.
The thing that I would have probably done in this occasion would probably be, believe it or not, tell the teacher and/or an adult. Even if I could handle it; I would find a way to stop it. As I have learned in previous years; two wrongs "never" make a right. I wouldn't care what other people think.

My thoughts on The Bully in chapters 3&4 is that I thought it was a little bit upsetting because of what happened with Darrell from Tyray. But know that I have read that much already I could not stop reading and I definetely want to read more about what happens!
